<![CDATA[A Fantastic Failure Has Made The Fantastic Four Better Than Ever]]> Reducing a superhero down to basics is a tried and tested method of injecting life back into a franchise. This has happened to Batman, Green Arrow and, most recently, Black Panther. Now, the Fantastic Four have been forced out of the Baxter Building due to a recent catastrophe. This road may have been bumpy for other heroes, but the Fantastic Four are proving that there’s no reason they can’t travel it in style.

<![CDATA[The Superman Family Member With The Greatest Potential Is Surprising]]> Heroes don’t come much more powerful than the Man of Steel. Superman is faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. But after some old enemies air Lex Luthor’s dirty laundry, it transpires that Kal-El might not be the most powerful member of the Superman clan for much longer.

<![CDATA[The Wolverine Artist Who Decided the Hero Didn't Need Clothes]]> Welcome to the 916th installment of Comic Book Legends Revealed, a column where we examine three comic book myths, rumors and legends and confirm or debunk them. This time, in our second legend, see how Sam Kieth decided to take some liberties in a Marvel Comics Presents story in terms of how much of Wolverine's body we'd see in the story.

<![CDATA[The New Fantastic Four Series Is Perfect For The MCU To Imitate]]> The Fantastic Four are considered the "First Family" of Marvel Comics, namely due to their bringing about the company's dominance during the Silver Age of Comics. The team is now set to have a new movie adaptation set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with said movie rebooting them on the big screen once more. Strangely enough, this movie is apparently pulling from some rather recent comic books.

<![CDATA[A DC Murder Mystery Highlights The Problem With The Trope]]> As much as people love comics about superheroes, there is a certain suspension of disbelief that goes into following even one story about a character who does the impossible every day. There was no clearer example of this than during Titans #5 (by Tom Taylor, Nicola Scott, Annette Kwok, Wes Abbott). The issue resolved the mystery surrounding who killed a future version of Wally West. Using all the context clues they had picked up earlier, Nightwing deduced that Wally would likely be murdered by Linda Park-West, who was being controlled by an alien parasite.

<![CDATA[Beast Boy's Powers Have A Danger Problem]]> The Titans have already distinguished themselves from their mentors by going out of their way to help heal the world they live in, rather than just fight off the threats that come after it. However, their willingness to sacrifice for the world has become more evident in Titans #5 (by Tom Taylor, Nicola Scott, Annette Kwok, Wes Abbott). In particular, Beast Boy was revealed to have a surprising, and potentially deadly flaw in his powers that could fundamentally alter him if he isn't careful.

<![CDATA[CBR's Top 100 Comics of 2023]]> We're back with our longtime annual CBR tradition. At the end of the year, we polled the many members of the CBR staff that make this site so great and asked them for their rankings of the top comics of the year. Every publisher putting out new comics material in English, regardless of genre or format, was fair game; each individual list was then factored in to determine the overall Top 100 that will be unveiled on CBR over the course of this week.
