Although horror stories are more fitting for Halloween, which was just a few weeks ago, something about Christmas and ghosts somehow makes more sense despite their contrasting themes. Whether it is the cold weather that makes everyone huddle up to the fireplace or the Victorian era trend that started with Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol, regaling each other with spooky stories has become an inherent tradition of Christmas -- a holiday having its own demonic figures to scare children from being naughty. Dark Horse Comics gathers four creators in front of the fire to carry the custom forward, as each one throws one outrageous story after another, painting horrific pictures of loneliness, lunacy, and curses while deconstructing baser human nature.
